Sonya Seifert is a board certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist and herbalist. Although a dance injury first led her to acupuncture as a patient, she quickly embraced the wide applications of this time-tested medicine in healing both body and mind. Innate curiosity and a desire to help others heal through natural means led Sonya to begin formal study of Traditional East Asian Medicine medicine.

Sonya has trained at both the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. Sonya has continued her studies focusing on Classical Chinese Medicine with Sharon Weizenbaum and Master Tung techniques with Henry McCann and Susan Johnson.

Sonya is a general practitioner who treats a wide variety of ailments. Her 20 years of experience as a Latin teacher finely tuned her listening skills and ability to work with a range of people.   She has a non-judgmental approach and specializes with meeting patients where they are and helping them to make dietary and lifestyle changes that increase the effectiveness of her clinical work. Dialogue with the patient is central to setting healing goals and selecting therapeutic protocols.
